The disaster preparedness recommendations are based on the installation of the CCS Assessment Manager Server module. The recommended disaster recovery method requires the use of existing database backups to restore the database. You can restore the database backups on the same computer or a different computer. A full backup restores the database to the time of the backup. You can restore the transaction log backups after you have restored the full backup to the point of failure.
You must regularly run the database backups and store the backups on a different computer than the CCS Assessment Manager installation. You should also have a set taken off-site as often as possible.
You must test your backups regularly by restoring the database on a test or a disaster recovery system. After the restoration, you must verify the backup by checking the database tables and the data.
