If a particular certificate is about to expire, the administrator can renew the certificate. A renewal extends the date of the certificate. You must know the location and password of the current version to renew the certificate. You cannot change the password for the certificate. The default value for the renewal is 25 years. When the certificate is renewed, its new expiration date must be less than January 1, 2038. The Expires In selection adds the number of years to the existing number of years for that certificate.
