Question What local privileges are required for Deployment Solution and Notification Server?
The account you use to install Deployment Solution must be a Windows Administrator and must possess System Administrator rights on the SQL server that will host your Deployment Database to install the Deployment Database. For further information on rights, see article 27304, "Deployment Solution 6.8 Installation Guide (including SP1 and SP2)".
Notification Server uses the Application Identity to set up services, copy and install agent packages, and perform the Notification Server installation. Because this account is also used to log on to the Notification Server services at startup, consider setting the password to never expire. In addition, the Application Identity user must be a member of the Local Administrators group on the Notification Server computer and should be removed from the Local Users group.
In addition, the Application Identity account requires the following rights in SQL and Local Security Policy:
DBO access (This is elevated to System Administrator rights if database is not created previously)
Access this computer from the network
Act as part of the operating system
Impersonate a client after authentication
Log on as a batch job
Log on locally
