You can verify whether your preferred email program works properly with the Scanner to deliver legitimate email by sending an email to a user.

To test the delivery of legitimate email
In an email client (such as Microsoft Outlook), create a new email.
Address the email to a valid user.
Give the message a subject that is easy to find, such as Normal Delivery Test.
Send the message.
Verify that the test message arrives correctly in the normal delivery location on your local host.
