Question: Can the CMDB task Inventory Clean Up be configured to only remove just Software data or just Hardware data, or otherwise not completely remove all related Inventory Solution data from a computer resource?

Answer: The Inventory Clean Up task cannot be configured to only remove part of Inventory Solution data from a computer resource. When ran, it will remove all Inventory Solution related data from computers (which is deleting data from around 700 different Altiris tables in SQL).
