Importing the security virtual appliance
During the installation of the management server, the security virtual appliance does not get installed by default. To install the security virtual appliance, you must import the OVA file from the installation DVD. Ensure that the OVA file is saved on a local drive or a DVD. The management server performs a certificate validation to check the integrity of the security virtual appliance OVA file before the import is executed. The management server extracts the files in the OVA and publishes all the required files for registration with VMware NSX Manager. The management server hosts the security virtual appliance that can be deployed as a service from the vSphere web client.
The registration panel is enabled only after the security virtual appliance OVA file is imported successfully.
