To delete the virtual appliance from the management server, perform the following steps:
Undeploy the security virtual appliance.
Unregister the Datacenter Protection Service.
Delete the security virtual appliance OVA file.
To delete the protection service
Log in to vSphere Web Client, and click the Home tab.
On the right pane under Inventories, click Networking & Security.
On the left pane under the Networking & Security tree, click Installation.
On the right pane, click the Service Deployments tab.
Select the service that you want to delete, and then click the red cross sign.
In the Confirm Delete dialog, click OK to complete the delete process.
Ensure the policies that are bound on the security group no longer use the Symantec Antimalware Service before you proceed with unregistering the protection service
To unregister the protection service
In the Management Console, click the Assets tab.
On the Assets page, click the Malware Protection tab.
In the Register Symantec Datacenter Protection Service to VMware NSX Manager panel, select the protection service that you want to unregister, and click Unregister.
In the Confirmation dialog, click OK to unregister.
The Delete File OVA option is enabled after you successfully unregister the protection service.
If the protection service is not registered with the NSX Manager, the Delete File OVA option is enabled.
To delete the security virtual appliance OVA
In the NSX Service Registration panel, select the OVA file that you want to delete.
Click Delete OVA file.
Click Yes in the Confirm Operation dialog to delete the OVA file.
