The version 6.0 prevention policy for Windows combines the new Protected Whitelisting feature with the existing features of the Windows Core, Windows Strict, and Windows Limited Execution policies into a single policy. By selecting a strategy from the Policy Builder you define the default behavior of the policy, and configure a corresponding set of options within the policy. You can modify the behavior settings and option configuration if required after the strategy is selected.
The version 6.0 prevention policy for Windows is oriented around the concept of an application. The service and interactive program policy options from the version 5.2.x prevention policies have been removed from this policy. In the new policy, you can define an application and specify the program paths that make up that application.
