After April 8, 2014, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or technical support for Windows XP. How will this impact Patch Management Solution customers.

The Patch Management Solution can only distribute those patches for which it downloads the associated packages from the vendor.
Symantec cannot provide the download URLs for Windows XP patches that Microsoft only makes available to customers who purchased extended support from Microsoft, because the Patch Management Solution is not able to distinguish between those customers who have purchased extended support from Microsoft and those who have not. As a workaround customers can manually download such patches from Microsoft and distribute them using the software management solution functionality.
