FEATURE REQUEST: Support use of User Principal Name (UPN) style login for authenticating at BootGuard with Symantec Drive Encryption
Last Updated February 23, 2018
Currently, Symantec Drive Encryption allows enrollment via User Principal Name (UPN), however to authenticate the Pre-boot authentication screen (BootGuard), a username and password is entered and won't currently accept a UPN-style convention.
A Feature Request has been submitted to add support for using a UPN-style login (an internet-style login, similar to email address, such as email@example.com) to authenticate to BootGuard for Symantec Drive Encryption.
Support has worked directly with Product Management and has determined this feature will not be included at this time. Please subscribe to this article for any updates. To be added to this Feature Request, please contact support who will track specific customer requests therein.
