FEATURE REQUEST: Add the ability to use a 40 character password for the Endpoint Encryption client administrator.
Last Updated September 07, 2017
Symantec Endpoint Encryption (SEE) Tested and confirmed on SEE versions 11.1.2 and 11.1.3
When you enter a password longer than 32 characters in either the SEE Software Setup "Drive Encryption Installation Settings - Client Administrators" page or the Native Policy Manager "Drive Encryption Computer Policy - Client Administrators" page, the password is truncated to the first 32 characters.
If you attempt to type more than 32 characters, the additional characters are not inserted into the password field. If you cut and paste a password with more than 32 characters into the password field, it only takes the first 32 characters. No error, warning or notice message is thrown.
