The Symantec DCS AIX agent does not currently support WPAR partitions. When IPS module is enabled on AIX Operating system with WPAR partitions in use, a reboot loop and/or crash will occur. This occurs when attempting to access a regular JFS2 file being accessed by a representation of the file from a NameFS filesystem used by WPAR. As NameFS is a purely logical filesystem, it appears the kernel readlink operation causes the crash, as the namefs vnode passed is not represented as a 'symlink' per-se.

Currently there is not a timeline of when this will be supported by the Symantec Data Center Security Agent.
