Enable DEBUG Logging for VIP Access Manager Gateway or Bridge
Last Updated January 17, 2018
It is possible to increase the verbosity of logs on the VIP Access Manager gateway or bridge by running a script on the desired machine.
To set the logging level to DEBUG:
Connect to the gateway or bridge via console or SSH.
As root, run the following command:
The logs can then be found in the /var/log/ssgdirectory on the gateway or bridge. The logs can be bundled for download by running the sam-bundlelogs command. The tarball will be saved to the /tmp directory and can be downloaded using an SFTP or SCP client. In addition to all logs the bundle will contain all configuration files for the gateway or bridge.
To set the logging level back to normal, use the sam-lognormal command.
