Symantec Endpoint Protection Mobile requests (optional) device admin privilege to ensure background operation, even if a malware or attacker tries to close it. This means there is an extra step required while uninstalling it and so ensuring that the action is indeed performed by the user.

To uninstall the SEP Mobile app from an Android device, disable the device Administrator permission for the SEP Mobile app, and then uninstall the app as any other normal app:

1. Go to Settings > Security > Device administrators.
2. Deselect the relevant device admin configuration and press Deactivate.
3. Uninstall SEP Mobile as you would do with any normal app.
