VIP Voice OTP for out-of-band and temp password transaction error codes. These codes are located in the VIP Web Services User's Guides.

Session in Progress Codes

7000 Session in Progress Session request has passed validation and a phone call attempt is in progress.
End User Related Status Codes

Value

Description

Meaning

0 Success User received the PIN and the call ended.
3210 Line Busy Phone line for the dialed number was busy.
3220 FAX Answered Call was answered by a FAX machine.
3230 No Answer Call was not answered.
3320 Call Disconnected The call was disconnected by the end user before the PIN could be delivered in its entirety.
3330 No Sound Detected The user did not enter any digits when prompted to affirm the call.
3340 No Affirmation User did not indicate the call was expected after being prompted three times.
3360 Call Refuted User indicated that the call was not expected.
3370 User Token Delivered User disconnected at any point during the PIN delivery step.

XML and Data Element Validation Error Status Codes

2140 Invalid Parameters A required parameter is missing or a provided parameter is not valid.
2142 Invalid TSOID or TSOID Inactive Bad value passed in <tsoid> element or invalid/inactive application
2510 XML parsing or validation error XML parsing or validation error
2520 Invalid Password Bad value passed in <password>  
2540 Invalid TEID Bad value passed in transaction ID <teid> element.
PSTN and Phone Number Validation Error Status Codes

Meaning

3101 Invalid Country Code The country code specified in the phone number did not match the country code within the database.
3104 Invalid Phone Number The phone number did not pass validation rules.
3110 Unassigned Phone Number Call attempt was made, but the PSTN returned an “invalid number” error.
3111 Blocked Phone Number The phone number is blocked by the voice or SMS provider. Possible reasons:
- Previous (non-Symantec) fraudulent or illegal activity detected either from the number or from the carrier.
- The number is new and not yet part of the international caller database utilized by the voice gateway provider.
- The phone number is owned by a carrier (often VoIP) not properly identifying itself as voice service.
Solution: An alternative phone number or delivery method should be used. Broadcom (Symantec) does not control, maintain or have access to this blocked number list.
3120 Network Congestion Call attempt was made, but the PSTN returned a “fast busy” (reorder tone).
3130 Phone Network Problems Call attempt was made but failed due to phone/carrier network problems.
3150 Special Information Tone Call attempt was made but failed with PSTN three-tone signal and a recorded message indicating an error (such as network congestion or number not in service.)
