Summary
Blue Coat Systems, Inc. announces a Notice of Status Change for PacketShaper PacketWise versions 8.7, 9.1 and 9.2. Version 9.2 was recently released and is being designated as a Long-term Release. Version 8.7, which has been previously designated as a Long-term Release, is having the EOM and EOL dates announced. Version 9.1, which has been previously designated as a Standard Release is also having the EOM and EOL dates announced.

The date of announcement of a pending product lifecycle change, such as End of Sale, End of Maintenance, and End of Life, for a given software release. |
End of Sale Date (EOS) |
The date after which this product will no longer be offered for sale, if applicable. |
End of Maintenance (EOM) |
The date after which this product is transitioned to limited technical support. After this point, Blue Coat will no longer provide code-level fixes for product defects. |
End of Life (EOL) |
The date after which Blue Coat no longer provides technical support for this product. After EOL, Blue Coat will no longer provide any security-related maintenance and software downloads may be unavailable. Any existing technical support contracts extending past this date will be honored for their full term of service. |

Blue Coat recommends that customers running versions prior to 8.7 or 9.1 consider evaluating to the latest 9.2 release, and over time consider upgrading before the EOL dates. This will ensure best service continuity over the life of the product.
