Blue Coat Systems SSL Visibility Appliance models SV1800, SV2800 and SV3800 running software version
3.8.4fc-17 have achieved FIPS 140-2 level 2 validation.
SSL Visibility v3.8.4fc-17 is available on Flexera. Once logged in with their BTO credentials, entitled Blue Coat customers can download the corresponding image and Release Notes.
This FIPS-compliant release is supported on the SV1800, SV2800, and SV3800 appliances.
The installation file associated with this release is sslv-3.8.4fc-17-bluecoat.nsu. Please review the Blue Coat SSL Visibility Appliance 3.8.4fc Release Notes for installation details.
Blue Coat Systems SSL Visibility Appliance models SV1800, SV2800 and SV3800 running software version 3.8.4fc-17 have achieved FIPS 140-2 level 2 validation. CMVP certificate 2362 applies to the SV1800 and SV2800 and CMVP certificate 2361 applies to the SV3800. This software version does not contain all of the features available in the latest recommended version of the software. Please review the feature differences before installing this version of the software on any of above SSL Visibility Appliance models.
The v3.8.4fc software is provided as a .nsu file which can be applied via the WebUI to any of the above SSL Visibility Appliance models that are running a non-FIPS version of the software.
Note: The system will enter the bootstrap mode after it reboots following the “factory default reset” action.
Customers running version 3.8.2f-227 should update their systems to version 3.8.4fc-17 at their earliest convenience.
Customers who do not require a FIPS-compliant release are directed to SSL Visibility 3.8.6 (or later).
