The SSL Visibility v3.9.3.2-7 release is now available on BTO for Blue Coat and OEM customers.
Once logged in with their BTO credentials, entitled Blue Coat customers can download the corresponding image and Release Notes from the SSL Visibility Downloads page. This release addresses the Host Categorization Database issue described in Blue Coat Technical Alert
000029520.
The Blue Coat Global Intelligence Network that maintains the Cloud services responsible for servicing the Host Categorization functionality on SSL Visibility appliances upgraded their root certificate on February 2, 2016, due to expiration of the previous certificate. SSL Visibility v3.9.3.2 has been updated to use the new certificate required to access the Global Intelligence Network services. Following an upgrade to SSL Visibility v3.9.3.2, the Host Categorization functionality on SSL Visibility appliances will continue to operate without issue and upgraded appliances will be able to update the Host Categorization database.
The Host Categorization functionality on all SSL Visibility appliances running versions prior to v3.9.3.2 will continue to operate, however, systems must be running v3.9.3.2 in order to perform an initial download or update of the Host Categorization database after February 2, 2016.
This release also includes additional defect and vulnerability fixes. Please refer to the
SSL Visibility 3.9.3.2 Release Notes for specific details on the all the defect fixes and the upgrade procedures.
Customers using the optional Host Categorization functionality are advised to upgrade any system running v3.7.x or above at their earliest convenience. Any customers running v3.6.x must first upgrade to v3.7.x or above in order to upgrade to v3.9.3.2.
