Symantec announces a Notice of Status Change (NSC) for X-Series products. The changes for the X-Series are as follows:
- The End of Sale date for the X-Series SKUs in Table 2 of this document is April 30, 2017 (certain Support Renewal SKUs have an End of Sale date of September 1, 2019 or four (4) years from the date of product purchase as noted in the table).
- The End of Life date, where applicable, for the X-Series products in Table 2 is the later of September 1, 2020 or five (5) years from the date of purchase.
- Customers will have until the later of September 1, 2019 or four (4) years from the date of product purchase to purchase 1-year support renewal contracts.
As a result of the EOL/EOS announcements Symantec customers with X-Series products must ensure the following:
- Ensure your Life Time Buy of the products in Table 2 is made by April 30, 2017.
- Ensure your final one-year support for the products in Table 2 is renewed before the later of September 1, 2019 or four (4) years from the date of product purchase.
- Ensure the X-Series software that you use is a supported version per Table 3, or upgrade to a supported version.
