Since upgrading Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) to 11.0.2010.25, some Outlook attachments appear to be stripped of content.

After upgrading SEP clients to 11.0.2010.25, some Outlook attachments appear to be stripped of content or corrupt. If the attachment is saved to disk the file is 0 bytes in size instead of the expected size.
Symptoms SEP client 10.0.2010.25 (MR2-MP1)
Email Tools are installed with the Outlook plug-in enabled. Email attachments which are saved to disk are saved with a file size of 0 bytes.
This issue occurs when the Outlook Auto-Protect is configured to scan Selected Extensions instead of All Files. When saving or opening files with extensions that are not listed in the Selected Extensions list, instead of not scanning the files, the Outlook plug-in is stripping the content.
