"Error: Unable to open LDAP connection to server <nameofserver> on port 389" when attempting to configure pcAnywhere to use directory services
Last Updated April 29, 2013
pcAnywhere supports using several Directory Service types for connecting to hosts on a network. When attempting to configure a pcAnywhere Host to use directory services, you see the error "Unable to open LDAP connection to server
on port 389" when pcAnywhere tries to verify the service you have set up.
This problem indicates that there is a problem connecting to your server providing your directory services, such as your LDAP server or ADS on your Domain Controller.
