Using the @CD Parameter to Automate a WinPE Image Restore Fails With Error Accessing CD/DVD Disk (1972)

You are trying to create a CD/DVD set of disks that will automatically launch and find the image to restore from the bootable CD/DVD. Your command line uses the @CD switch as a variable to let Ghost find the CD/DVD drive in order to restore the image and it fails to find that drive. If you use the direct path to the CD/DVD drive then the restore succeeds.
Symptoms When using a command line similar to "ghost32.exe -clone,mode=restore,src=@cd1,dst=1 -sure" you receive the following error:
ERROR accessing CD/DVD disk(1972) The current disk is not the first in the set [Retry] [Cancel]
The @CD command line parameter is not valid when used in a WinPE environment.
The solution is to use the direct path to the CD/DVD drive as in the example below:
