How to Configure Data Processing Service Component (DPS) in CCS Console in Symantec Control Compliance Suite Reporting and Analytics 9.0.
Symptoms Scheduled Reporting Database Synchronization job is failing because the DPS is not Configured with the reporting role in CCS9.0 Reporting and Analytics
Below are the steps to Configure DPS Component in CCS Console in CCS9.0 Reporting and Analytics.
In the System Topology Map View or Grid View, click Register DPS.
In the Data Processing Service Selection panel, select one or more DPS hosts to register.
In the Site Selection panel, select the site to which the DPS hosts should be assigned. You can use an existing site or create a new site. To create a new site, click Create Site and enter a site name.
Assign a Role to the DPS
In the Role Selection panel, select the roles to which the DPS should be assigned. You must assign the DPS to at least one role.
You can also change the port the DPS uses to communicate with the Application Server. The default port is 3993.
In the Confirm or change the DPS to Use for Synchronizing the Reporting Database panel, select the DPS that should perform synchronization of the reporting database.
Configure the Data Collectors
If you selected the DPS Collector role, in the Data Collector Selection panel, select the data collectors that the DPS should use.
Next. In the Summary panel, click
Next. Do one of the following:
-If you assigned a DPS to the DPS Collector role, in the Finished panel, click
Advanced Settings for registered components.
-If you did not assign a DPS to the DPS Collector role, in the Finished panel, click
Finish. If you clicked Advanced Settings for registered components, in the Categories area of the Data Processing Service Settings dialog box, configure any DPS Collectors to collect data.
Click the name of the setting to configure.
Enter any information that is required on the panel.
Sync Configuration under the Infrastructure tasks and click on refresh health and status.
Symantec DPS Component should be configured now in CCS Console in CCS9.0 Reporting and Analytics Console and it should show green check mark next to DPS Icon.
