BSOD on protected computers while attempting to Terminal service which is running Symantec Norton Anti-virus Corporate Edition 8.0 and Recovery Solution Agent 6.x. The BSOD\Blue Screen with a STOP message similar to:
In certain situations when both Symantec Norton Anti-virus Corporate Edition 8.0 and Recovery Solution Agent 6.x are installed on the same machine this may cause a problem. The kernel has limited memory and as both Anti-Virus and Recovery Solution (FAL driver and OFM driver) patch kernel it may run out of space and in this case the computer gets a blue screen with UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP.
This is an Operating System and/or Symantec issue recognized by Symantec Corporation.
Log on to the Symantec's site and perform the procedure documented in the KB article below:
Add the KStackMinFree DWORD and set the value to 2200. The protected computer will no longer blue screen.
