Symptoms Symantec Endpoint Recovery Tool (SERT) download comes as an ISO. How do I use this?
The process of burning an .ISO image is not same as making a data or a music CD. To create the disc, you need a CD burning program such as GEAR PRO Professional Edition, Roxio Easy CD Creator, or Nero Burning ROM.
Click Download Now, and save the file to the desktop.
On your Windows desktop, double-click the GEARISOBurn.exe file.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
After the installation is completed, double-click the GEAR ISO Burn shortcut icon on your Windows desktop.
In the GEAR ISO Burn window, click Browse and locate the .ISO file you've downloaded from Symantec.
If you have more than one CD/DVD drive, select your CD/DVD writer from the drop-down menu.
Insert a blank CD into the CD/DVD drive.
Technical Information Typically CD media can fit up to 700 MB of data. DVD media, and DVD burning hardware, is required to hold data that is larger than that. Typically a DVD can hold up to 3.95+ GB of data.
