Why does the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager sometimes 'hang' during logon?
Symptoms While logging into the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager console, the progress bar freezes and the application hangs, not logging in successfully or returning any error messages. Restarting the computer did not help.
Go to the Process (Start > run > type
taskmgr) and click
OK highlight dbsrv9.exe process and end the process.
Go to services (Start > run > type services.msc )and then click OK
Restart the Symantec embedded database service and Symantec endpoint protection manager service.
Should able to login fine.
