When clicking the 'Reports' tab in the Symantec Mail Security for Microsoft Exchange (SMSMSE) console, the following error message is displayed : "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:58081" and reports cannot be viewed.
Symptoms Reports will not generate.
Home page statistics are blank, including the pie chart in the upper right corner.
mscoree.dll is missing from C:\Windows\SysWOW64 directory.
SMSMSE requires use of the mscoree.dll library. If this library is missing then this error occurs. This can happen if a catastrophic error has occurred on the computer and a "repair" of the operating system was performed.
From a working operating system, copy the file mscoree.dll from C:\Windows\SysWOW64 to the same location on system that is experiencing problems.
