After changing the password for WiseSVC, an error message appears in the eventlog saying "Login failed for user WiseSVC..." source mssqlServer(2003).
The password for the WiseSVC account in the Repository Manager no longer matches the password in for that account in SQL.
In the event that the encrypted password and the actual password got out of sync, you can reset the password by doing the following:
Open Wise Repository Manager and expand this window to be full screen (necessary to see all of the options that will be used later on).
Click on Databases > Wise Services > Wise Services Database.
Click the Settings button in the lower-right corner.
On the Change Database Settings dialog, either select Windows NT authentication from the first set of radio buttons if your Windows login is a DBA on your SQL Server or select SQL Server Authentication and specify the user name and password of a SQL DBA.
Specify a new password in the Password field. This will update the config.ini to have the correct encrypted password. It will also change the password on the SQL server to the password specified.
Note: The person making these changes needs to be a database administrator.
