b.Rename the existing AMAgent.dll to AMAgent.dll.old (this will preserve the original in the case that you need to revert this change)
c.Place the NEW AMAgent.dll into this directory from the Metering_Hotfix_Fault.zip archive
5)While the service is still stopped, also navigate to:
a.C:\Windows\System32 (or 64 depending on your OS)
b.Rename the existing AeXSystemPerformance.dll to AeXSystemPerformance.dll.old as well as renaming the AMInit32.dll (or64) to AMInit32.dll.old.
c.Place the NEW AeXSystemPerformance.dll and AMInit32.dll into the System32 directory.
6)Finally, Restart the ‘Symantec Management Agent’ service by navigating to:
a.Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services
b.Start the ‘Symantec Management Agent service.
This will successfully allow the installation of the Application Metering hotfix into a client environment. If you have any questions regarding the process, please do not hesitate to contact support for additional details.
Note: Some problems may remain at installation time for SnagIt32.exe and SnagIt.exe. Additionally, the application RegSvrEx.exe will now start, but may not perform correctly.
