The Management server configuration wizard fails with error "Failed to change data folder ACLs."
When you try to add Everyone and give the group full control to the data folder and its child objects, you may find that you are unable to do so.
Error "Failed to Change data Folder ACLs"
This can occur if a group has been deleted and some .dat files are left in the agentinfo folder that are related to that group.
Stop the IIS Admin service
Give full control to the Everyone group on the data folder and its child objects
The default location of the data folder is: C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\data
Run the Management Server Configuration wizard again.
If still not able to proceed with the Management Server Configuration Wizard and getting the same error message "Failed to Change data Folder ACLs", run the Repair from Control Panel>>Add/Remove program and then proceed with the Management Server Configuration Wizard again.
