When attempting to decrypt a file with PGP Command Line, you receive the following error message:
3131:multiple PGP blocks found in single input stream
This applies to PGP Command Line 9.x.
There is no OpenPGP standard for having multiple blocks in a single file and is included as part of RFC 4880. Some implementations did and continue to support multiple blocks, but they are not compliant with RFC 4880. PGP Corporation prefers to use tar to archive all the input files into one file, thus preserving the OpenPGP compliance.
If the file contains multiple PGP blocks, please use the attached file below which contains a Perl script that can parse the file and produce a separate output file for every PGP block detected.
Please note that no support or warranty is implied or offered with this script.
