This article details how to resolve issues with connecting to the license authorization server.
A name lookup failed relates to general connection failures but may also apply to socket errors. These errors indicate that the connection between your system and our license authorization server is being interrupted. This can occur for various reasons, but most likely firewalls and/or proxy servers may disallow the connection.
When PGP Desktop attemps to authorize the license this takes place over Port 80 when connecting to authorize*.pgp.com.
For PGP Desktop 10.1.x and newer licenses or if you have received a new license, you must use Authorized User for the Name and Authorized Company for the Organization
