When a message containing an attachment is sent through the Symantec Encryption Management Server to an external user using Symantec Web Email Protection, the message fails to send and you receive a message of "Bouncing: message too large"
This error can occur when the quota on the user's Web Email Protection account is configured with value that is smaller than the default Storage Quota for all Symantec Web Email Protection users. If the attachment exceeds the default Storage Quota for all Symantec Web Email Protection users, the user receives the Bouncing: message too large message.
Resolution: This can resolved by increasing the value of Storage Quota for the Symantec Web Email Protection service.
Use the following steps to increase the Symantec Web Email Protection Storage Quota:
Login to the Symantec Encryption Management Server administrative interface.
Click Services > Web Messenger.
Click the Options tab then click Edit.
Increase the value of the Storage Quota.
