After rebooting or starting your computer, you receive the following alert:
Please wait whiles Windows configures PGP Desktop
After the installer completes, you are prompted to reboot the computer, thereby causing an loop when rebooting the computer.
This occurs when the PGP Desktop installation was either damaged or corrupted, the PGP Desktop installer is prompted to be reinstalled on Windows Vista or Windows 7 after every reboot.
Windows Vista and Windows 7 include an enhanced system protection and restore feature. If the PGP Desktop installation becomes corrupted or damaged and a restore point is saved with the damaged settings, it may get trapped in a reinstall loop.
Disable the Windows System Restore.
Caution: Turning off System Protection for a disk deletes all restore points for that disk.
Uninstall PGP Desktop and then reboot the computer.
Re-install PGP Desktop and reboot the computer.
Re-enable Windows System Restore.
