When sending an encrypted email, the message is blocked by PGP Desktop and the following error message is displayed in the PGP Desktop log:
GetTokenInformation generated Win32 error 6
This error can occur if the public key for the recipient in All Keys is Disabled and the key is listed in your Master Key List in the PGP Desktop Options. This is resolved by re-enabling the key in PGP Desktop. A disabled key will display with its name in italics.
You can also remove the key from the Master Key List if it is not necessary to encrypt all email messages to the recipient.
To re-enable a public key
Open PGP Desktop.
Select PGP Keys and then click All Keys.
Right-click the key and select Enable. The key is enabled.
To remove a key from the Master Key List
Right-click the PGP Tray icon in the Windows System Tray.
Select Options and then click the Master Keys tab.
Select the desired key and click Remove.
Click OK to update the settings.
