This article details the minimum characters required for answers to key reconstruction questions.
If you have lost your key or have forgotten your passphrase, you can recover by reconstructing your key. You must first have created a set of security questions that only you can answer.
Answers for PGP Key Reconstruction questions must be at least 6 characters. This minimum requirement is hard coded into the software and cannot not be changed. This applies to both stand-alone and managed PGP Desktop clients.
