After manually installing the EncryptionAnywhere ADAM instance and EncryptionAnywhere Management Console, an issue may occur that causes clients to not report properly to the server.
This has been determined by:
After adding client machines to a new EncryptionAnywhere Management Console watchlist, only the machine name will display.
Forcing the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) for the adamclient account does not resolve the issue.
This issue can be resolved by changing the single label domain name "TEST", to a FQDN "TEST.COM". Then perform a reinstallation of the EncryptionAnywhere ADAM instance and EncryptionAnywhereHD Management Console software.
This solution applies to all versions of EA Hard Disk.
