Control Compliance Suite (CCS) Support Service Installation fails on a Domain Controller with an 'Access is Denied' Error message
The CCS Support Service can be installed from the ECS directory, Query Engine directory, or the bv-Config utility. You can launch the Support Service executable, BVQESupportSvc.exe, to install the CCS Support Service. For example, on a computer having ECS installed, the default location of Support Service is C:\Program Files\Symantec\ECS\BVQESuportSvc.exe. You can copy this executable over to the desired machine and double-click the BVQESupportSvc.exe program. The program installs and starts the CCS Support Service. Sometimes on a Domain Controller these steps may fail with an 'Access is Denied' error message. Follow these steps to install Support Service on a Domain Controller:

Registry modifications should only be carried-out by persons that are experienced in the use of the registry editor application. It is recommended that a complete backup of the registry and workstation be made before making any registry changes.
1. Copy BVQESupportsvc.exe located at \Program Files\Symantec\BVNTQE from the BVIS machine to the Domain Controller. 2. Run BVQEsupportsvc.exe -install from the command prompt on the Domain Controller. 3. Add two DWORD registry keys at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BindView\BindView Support Service\Options.
LLFreq with Decimal value of 240 and LLFreqType with Decimal value of 0.
4. Go to the Services Control Panel and start the CCS Support Service. 5. On the BVIS machine, open BVConfig and Right click on the requisite Domain Controller and select Detect Support Service. 6. Click Detect on the upcoming window and the Service would show up as 'Installed'.
