After upgrade to Symantec Messaging Gateway (SMG) 9.5, update.log does not show the previous upgrade history.
This behavior is by design.
Starting with SMG version 9.5, the update.log rolls over when you perform Software Update in the Control Center. During the roll over, older log entries are moved to a new file named update.log.<date and time stamp> and the current log entries are kept in update.log. To view the entire update history, you need to look at all the update.log files. All these update.log files are included in the diagnostics package.
