When you are installing Control Compliance Suite (CCS) 10.5 you receive the error, "Unable to connect to crl.verisign.com. Ensure that the connection to the Verisign server is available."
CCS services use crl.verisign.com for security purposes, to validate the digital signature of assemblies. We recommend that you enable the Internet connection before you continue.
No Internet connectivity can result in startup issues for the CCS services and can cause the installation to fail. For more information, see "Internet connection for CCS service" in the CCS Installation Guide.
To prevent the warning and allow services and installation to succeed regardless of Internet connectivity, you can disable the default setting in Internet Explorer.
Open Internet Explorer on the computer that experiences the performance issue.
Go to Internet Options and click the Advanced tab.
Uncheck "Check for publisher's certificate revocation".
Restart the installation or restart the CCS services.
Caution: Be aware that digital signatures will no longer be checked whether they were revoked or not.
