Unable to open Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) client after restarting the system.
SEP client generates the following error when opening the SEP client GUI:
Can open SEP client GUI only after the Symantec Management Client (SMC) service is started manually.
Resultant set of policy was applied to the SEP client.
Unable to start SEP client, receives the error code: 0x80070422 Started SMC service, able to open the SEP client GUI. If the system is restarted multiple times, the issue appears to come back. Checked the Errors and Warning messages in the Windows Application Event Logs. Found the error message: Event ID 6 for Symantec Antivirus. Checked the Resultant set of policy and found that policy was applied for SEP.
Removed the policy from active directory.
Able to open the SEP client GUI and continued to successfully open the GUI after restarting the system multiple times..
