Some Symantec Mail Gateway (SMG) appliances are shipped with the third, unused network interface. Currently this third NIC cannot be configured for use as a management network interface through the GUI or command line.

Configuration of the third network interface for a management network is currently being considered by Symantec as a future enhancement to the product. This article will be updated with instructions for its configuration when the feature becomes available.
