How to force Windows to disable the Aero interface when the PcAnywhere Mirror driver loads.

You wish to disable the DWM Aero interface as soon as the PcAnywhere service starts for troubleshooting or compatibility reasons.
This can be done for troubleshooting or compatibility reasons.
The following modification has been found to improve performance in certain circumstances. It involves a modification to a Microsoft component. Symantec does not take any responsibility for any issues that result from applying this setting.
This modification applies to Windows Vista and Windows 7 only, it will not work with Windows XP. When these options are set, Windows will disable DWM and display scaling on high DPI systems whenever a PcAnywhere Host is running:
DISABLEDWM: Disable desktop composition; HIGHDPIAWARE: Disable display scaling on high DPI settings;
Backup the registry, then apply the following settings to the affected host and remote systems:
This would have the advantage of only disabling DWM and Aero when a connection is active.
Windows Vista and 7 use the Desktop Windows Manager (DWM) component to generate the Aero desktop interface. The PcAnywhere Mirror driver is not compatible with DWM, and Windows will disable Aero by default when a PcAnywhere connection is detected.
