Truncate transaction log task created by the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager may cause data loss during backup.
No message is displayed to warn of potential problems.
For performance considerations, the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager provides a database maintenance task to truncate the database transaction log . If you configure the SQL Server database RECOVERY option as FULL mode, the truncate transaction log task scheduled by SEPM may cause data loss during database backup.
To avoid the problem, manually disable the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager truncate transaction log task or change the SQL Server database option setting. See the Symantec Endpoint Protection and Symantec Network Access Control Implementation Guide for information about configuring the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager. See the appropriate Microsoft documentation for information about configuring SQL Server.
