Last Updated June 30, 2011
In Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager, you open a report that loads in a new window. You see the message, "Internet Explorer Script Error: An error has occurred in the script on this page", and the report does not load.
Access privileges are not elevated and Internet Explorer has not been updated to version 8 or higher.
Upgrade Internet Explorer to verison 8 or higher to resolve this issue.
Run Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager as an Administrator
Right-click on the shortcut for Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager and choose Run as Administrator.
Turn off UAC
Click Start > Control Panel.
Click User Accounts.
In the User Accounts window, click User Accounts.
In the User Accounts tasks window, click Turn User Account Control on or off.
If UAC is currently configured in Admin Approval Mode, the User Account Control message appears. Click Continue.
Uncheck Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer, and then click OK.
Restart the computer to apply the change.
NOTE: UAC is an important security feature and disabling it will reduce the security on the system. Symantec does not recommend using this as a permanent solution.
