After connecting via management IP address following can be noticed: In "System Status", in "Status" you might see "Stopped" In "Executive Summary" in "Appliance Status" you might see "Stopped"
also in "System Status" under "Recent System Changes" you might see entries similar to the ones below:
Tap Mode: System Event: <SWG_Hostname> Failed to Resume Tap-port Monitoring (986880) System Event: Service Enabled Failed to Resume <SWG_Hostname> (Tap-port Monitoring)
Inline Mode: System Event: <SWG_Hostname> Failed to Resume Inline Proxy Blocking (986880) System Event: HW Bypass De-Activated Failed to Resume <SWG_Hostname> (Inline Proxy Blocking)
Also if your appliance is configured for Inline filtering, the appliance goes into bypass mode and is not accessible via inline IP address.
Incorrect entry in subnet definition entered under "Internal Network Configuration", as example it might look following way:
Please remove any IP-Address entries containing leading zeros in any of the octets (example of such entry can be seen on screenshot) and then recreate the same entry without leading zeros. After this is done save and activate changes and reboot Symantec Web Gateway appliance.
