If you try to install an automation partition on a Windows 7 Embedded Client (WES7) using a distribute software task you might get the error message below:
Error 112: Not enough disk space for package.
The builtin distribute software task tries to copy the automation parition package (e.g. bootworks.exe) to drive Z:\ (only ~ 92MB in size) which contains the default temp directory.
To resolve the issue create a job which consists of the following two tasks.
1. Create a "Copy File to" task which copies your automation parition package (e.g. bootworks.exe) to the thin client.
2. Create a "Run script" task with the following script:
REM IF C:\Temp DOESNT EXIST CREATE IT IF EXIST C:\Temp GOTO ENDTEMP MKDIR C:\Temp :ENDTEMP
REM SET TEMPORARY DIRECTORY TO C:\Temp SET TEMP=C:\Temp SET TMP=C:\Temp
REM INSTALL BOOTWORKS C:\Temp\bootworks.exe
REM REMOVE ALL FILES AND FOLDERS IN C:\Temp FOR /F "tokens=*" %%G IN ('DIR /S /B /AD C:\Temp\') DO RMDIR /S /Q %%G DEL /S /Q C:\Temp\*
