Try these solutions in order and after each step try to run the installation again:
Remove LiveUpdate from Control Panel – Programs and Features (add remove Programs).
Make sure after uninstall these folders are deleted. On Windows 2000, XP and 2003: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\LiveUpdate C:\Program Files\Symantec\LiveUpdate
On Windows Vista, 7 and 2008: C:\ProgramData\Symantec\LiveUpdate\ C:\Users\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\LiveUpdate ____________________________________________________ 1. Open regedit and browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\SystemCertificates\TrustedPublisher 2. Under TrustedPublisher look for Safer key and delete it.
