Customer installed SEP 12.1 and found file sharing traffic was blocked by NTP
SEP 12.1 increases the security for remote computers by making sure that the following default firewall rules for an off-site location stay enabled:
■ Block Local File Sharing to external computers
■ Block Remote Administration
Decrease the security for the servers group by making sure that the following firewall rule stays enabled: Allow Local File Sharing to local computers. This firewall rule ensures that only local traffic is allowed.
It defines the internal IP segment: 10.0.0.0/16, 172.16.0.0/16, 192.168.0.0/16, 169.254.0.0/16. When clients' IP address does not drop into the defined internal IP address range ,the traffic will be blocked as designed.
Edit the firewall rule, adding local network address to the remote host in rule "Allow Local File Sharing to local computers"
