Last Updated April 25, 2012
When you install Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) with the Lotus Notes Email Plugin into a machine in which a multi-user install of Lotus Notes 8.52 exists, Lotus Notes user specific data directories are not created.
This issue is resolved in Symantec Endpoint Protection 11 RU7 MP2. Please upgrade to the latest available release to take advantage of all product enhancements and improvements.
If upgrading is not possible, there is a known workaround:
To workaround this issue do the following.
Uninstall the SEP Lotus Notes email plugin via Add/Remove Programs
Delete the nlnvp.dll from the Lotus Notes installation directory. i.e. C:\Lotus\Notes.
*In order to delete the nlnvp.dll from the Lotus Notes installation directory, disable Tamper Protection from SEP client - Change settings - Client Management - Tamper Protection.
